Institutional Background

Conceptual Overview & Establishment

AMYA Polytechnic College Inc. (AMYAPCI), as an academic institution committed to scholarly inquiry, recognizes that research is not only an intellectual endeavor but also a moral responsibility.

Research activities, particularly those involving human participants, personal data, community engagement, and health-related information, require systematic ethical oversight to ensure the protection of dignity, safety, rights, and welfare of participants.

In response to the growing culture of research within the institution, AMYAPCI formally established the AMYA Polytechnic College Research Ethics Committee (AMYAPCI-REC) in 2026.

The AMYAPCI-REC serves as the institutional body tasked with reviewing, evaluating, and monitoring research proposals involving human participants and ethically sensitive data. It functions as an independent, multidisciplinary committee that safeguards participants while supporting researchers in conducting scientifically sound and ethically compliant studies.
